Everyone knows the Golden Globes are a tacky and vapid prelude to the Oscars (which are equally tacky and vapid only dressed up prettier so no one notices as much).  What were they expecting him to do? To give a wink and a smile and thank the fantastic Americans for their graciousness in permitting him to host such a prestigious awards show? In case you haven’t been around for the last I dunno…ten plus years you would know that Gervais is an extremely talented and successful comedian/actor/whatever over in the motherland and doesn’t need any charity or opportunity from us.   He did the Globes a fucking favor, and I think he went pretty easy on you.  Peace, love and shitblastersxoxox- Celeste  Ricky Gervais is a pudgems :)
